{Glossy Lids}

When I thought about the look I wanted to create on J, I knew I wanted her eyes to be the showstopper. I wanted them soft, yet sultry. Slightly smoked, but not too dark. We skipped concealer for this look and I only used the tiniest amount of foundation underneath her eyes. I kept the brows pretty natural and lightly applied a small amount of brow powder. The lips were nude for the first part of the shoot and I used quite a bit of blush on her cheeks. Later, I wanted to kick it up a notch with a pair of wet, glossy lids. Everything came together nicely and J. looked incredible!

We stopped and snapped photos of each look, but the details of the base look are all listed here:

{Skin Prep} Sonia Roselli Water Balm Skin Prep
{Foundation} Make Up For Ever Ultra HD in Y205 + Y225
{Powder} Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
{Cheeks + Highlight} Benefit Cosmetics Blush in Dallas + MAC Blush in Melba; NYX Blush in Taupe (in the hollows of the cheeks); The Balm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter
{Eyes} MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ocre; MAC Eyeshadow in Coquette + Colourpop Cosmetics eyeshadows in Take The Lead & Dreamboat; Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Demolition; Covergirl Plumpify Blast PRO Mascara in Very Black
{Eyebrows} Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder in Medium Brown
{Lips} Inglot Soft Precision Lipliner in #67 + Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense in #22

To add to this look, I covered the eyelids with Smith’s Rosebud Salve to give it the wet, glossy look. This photographs well, but it’s not quite wearable since it does crease a lot. If you want to give this a try, I recommend using a flat synthetic brush to apply on the eyes. Layer on as much as you want. Have fun with it!

To finish this look, I smudged the eyeliner a bit more along both top and bottom lash line. I also lined the lips with Urban Decay 24/7 Lip Pencil in Blackmail and used Your Name Pro Luxury Lipstick in Plum Royale. I think the results look amazing! Let me know what you think.
